Ted Hamilton, MD, is vice president of medical mission for Adventist Health System. He previously served as senior medical officer for Florida Hospital. From 1987-89, he was executive director of the Loma Linda Faculty Medical Group. Hamilton also has managed care experience with Georgia BCBS and Tennessee Medicaid.
Hamilton graduated from Loma Linda School of Medicine and completed his family practice training at Florida Hospital. Following several years of private practice, he directed the Florida Hospital family practice residency from 1980-87. He obtained his MBA from Rollins College Crummer School in 1989.
He has served on the boards of the Orlando Healthcare Center for the Homeless and Shepherd’s Hope, an outpatient program serving the working poor. He now serves on the board of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
